Ron Curcio
Ron comes to the Riekes center and brings over 17 years experience in the Health and Fitness field. Ron is a nationally renoun speed and conditioning coach. Ron has a vast knowledge in sports medicine along with training athletes in wheelchairs. Ron was the former Sports Performance Director for Velocity Sports Performance in both Dallas and here in San Carlos. Ron is currently the Head Speed and Conditioning Coach for girls basketball and lacrosse at Menlo High School.

- 17 years training Professional, Olympic, Collegiate, High School through Middle School Athletes; training Working Professionals, Police and Firefighters and Developing Corporate Wellness programs.
- Associated Speed & Conditioning Coach for Professional teams as Sacramento Kings (Basketball), Sacramento Knights (Indoor Soccer) and Sacramento Capitals (Tennis)
- Trained 2 Olympic Champions in Racquetball and Water skiing and 1 Paralympics Champion in swimming (Australia in 2000; 2 Silver Medals, 2 Bronze Medals and 6 out 6 finals)
- Designed Speed & Conditioning Camps for teams and coaches ranked in the Top 5 in the Nation and the State of Texas. Over 8 National and State Titles from 5-5A ranked schools
- 10 years working directly with Physical Therapists and Orthopedic Surgeons for Post Rehab Athletes getting them back to competition and Working Professionals back to work / sports without pain or limitations from old injuries
- Individual speed coach for Sparky Hamilton (Green Bay Packers), Quincy Jones (Dallas Cowboys), Vernon Wells (Toronto Blue Jays) and Homer Bush (New York Yankees), Kyle Hertzell (San Jose Sabercats)
- Helped athletes obtain scholarships to such colleges as Florida State, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Rice, Baylor, Naval Academy, Texas Tech, Texas Longhorns, UCLA, SDSU, Stanford and Cal
- Trained and designed strength and conditioning programs for Disabled Sports USA, athletes in wheelchairs in such sports as tennis, swimming, ruby, basketball and football
- Ron holds a degree in Physical Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from CSU Sacramento. Played collegiate football for UNLV and was a State Champion in Power lifting
