Mikko Asaki
Huddart Friday Newts Instructor

Mikko grew up in the East Bay Area and spent many summers in Finland. Much of his free time was spent swimming the lakes of the Sierras and the gulf of Finland, camping in the mountains and coasts of California, biking through the regional parks of the east bay and wandering the urban and natural lands of his homes. Mikko has always been drawn to nature and the deep feeling of peace that it gifts. He is committed to helping people form deep connections with nature and each other. He is grateful for the opportunity to be a positive force in the lives of youth and for the teachings and the growth that they bring to him. He is a graduate of the Native Eyes tracker-trainer program and was an intern and instructor for the Friday Huddart Nature Programs in 2008-2009.
