Mike Osborn was born in 1983 in San Jose California. In Junior High Mike became very interested in music and while a freshman at Junipero Serrah High School he took a beginning percussion class that would start a life long musical pursuit. After graduating from Serrah in June 2002 Mike began teaching professionally at Wollmers Music while pursuing an Associates Degree in Music at Foothill College in Los Altos.
In 2004 it was Mike's privilege to direct Riordan's High School Drum line during an intensive 6 week summer program under the guidance of Scott Souza. It was during this summer that Mike also played for the San Francisco premier of "Nun-sense A-Men" which debuted at the Shelton Theater. Once the summer was over Mike taught for Recreation Plus as well as West Bay Music Academy. In early 2005 Mike became aware of the Riekes Center for Human Enhancement and began teaching there.
Mike is currently working on attaining a Bachelors Degree in Music and has privately studied classical percussion with Artie Storch as well as drum set with Danny Descalzo, Mike Curotto and Larry Berman. He is currently performing in several different bands as well as freelancing in the greater bay area region. His past performances include productions and/or Performances at Stanford, The Marin Civic Center, Alameda Elks Club, The Palo Alto Players, The Four Seasons, The Avalon, Little Fox, Mirv Stock, The Hollister Motorcycle Rally and Notre Dame de Namur University. Aside from playing in bands Mike has also played for various Pit Orchestras and Musicals (Grease, Hello Dolly).
