Maddy Lough-Stevens
Front Desk / Voice Instructor

Maddy Lough-Stevens has been involved at the Riekes Center in one way or another since she was 12, through various programs, such as Nature Awareness and Student Services, but her true love has always been rooted in the music department. Maddy grew up in San Carlos, and was part of her church choir until she discovered the Peninsula Girls Chorus, a professional girls choir based in Burlingame. She was a member for over ten years, and was also given the chance to teach a young girls section until she graduated in 2007. Working in the choir has shaped her singing style, as well as given her an opportunity to see how rewarding and exciting it is to teach younger singers.

Maddy incorporates classical singing techniques into her lessons, such as proper breathing, knowledge of theory -both on sheet music and the piano, along with fun warm-ups. She is dedicated to helping her students achieve their musical goals, whatever they might be.

Maddy is currently attending Canada Community College as a freshman, where she is working towards her goal of transferring to a larger university. Maddy loves to read interesting books, eat Mexican food, and sing just about everywhere she goes.
